So it’s Bonnie’s birtyday party – happy birthday girl!

We’re supposed to have fun in sugar tonight, and I went there after watching Bend like Beckham, which was bluu-oo-udy (/British accent) good. It was pretty fun to begin with, as it wasn’t as crowded or class conscious as hei hei or dragon i. (for my non-Hong Kong friends – those are clubs in Hong Kong with all the powertrip bouncers and bored folks who have to go to those clubs even when they don’t dance but just walk… patrolling.  yeah weird, but that’s what people do).

But at around 12ish it started to get really smokey, and that’s the time I realized I’m getting old, man.  I was so thinking of my powerbook already.  Talking about my baby (duh!), I dropped it off to applecare today.  Well if you’ve been following the posts you’ll know that I knocked the keytab ‘r’ right before I submitted my thesis and was in absolute devastation.  Now that I had the time, I of course took my baby (well i know some of you are frowning but I’m not going to stop referring my 15″ gorgeous as ‘baby’) to get fixed.

Unfortunately the girl inspected babymac and said that there were too many dents, so they had to charge me!  WHAT!  The freaking applecare was like thousands of dollars and I still need to pay?  Well… basically I will have my screen changed, and the keyboard replaced, for HK$600.  So I shouldn’t be complaining.  But I was quite surprised as mac pride themselves on their warranty service.

HK$600!  I can do so many things with it!

* If I can get a 12″ powerbook for HK$2500, I can probably get something like an imac for that price (/cathy is drunk)
** like, entering sugar for 3 times?  Man I hate clubbing.  It’s so expensive!

I went on explaining to her that it was in Boston when it was 38 celcius (about 100f) and my mac was dented when I told it out from the backpack.  She was absolutely not convinced, and I was so pissed.  (again if you check my blog – right after I complained about the headwave I posted the dented mac)
