About this website
You have arrived at my personal site. Yes I am currently Yahoo! Europe's Community Manager overlooking our social media strategy, but I am also an online Bohemian. This website serves as a reminiscent repertoire of my previous work, such as research on Wikipedia's sociology, and also as a platform to engage in discussion with folks who like travelling, food, technologies and general fun things in life as well.
What do I do, exactly?
My interests reside in the New Media, education, journalism and this list is still pending. Here's my blog for the latest.
We are living in a world where independent new media users can make a difference. Imagine all the changes individuals can bring through this platform, the Internet, this is where we are. You can easily reach me through commenting on my blog, and yes, it's really all about random stuff and thepostings on this site are my own and don't necessarily represent Yahoo!'s positions, strategies or opinions.
Background
Originally from Hong Kong, I enjoy travelling, and was quite involved in the last two Wikipedia annual conferences (Wikimania 2005, 06). I use Mac computers because I like design and quality, as well as the idea that information should not be monopolized for the sake of corporationalization. No, I am not an anarchist, I just happen to believe in diversity and respect for innovation. I like reading Lawrence Lessig, Yochai Benkler, Richard Stallman, and crappy women magazines occassionally.
